Signorelli Gastronomia- Pyrmont

Signorelli Gastronomia-48 Pirrama Road, Pyrmont

The Gastronomia has been devised by Paul Signorelli and his sisters, Anna Cesarano and Nina Milazzo, as homage to their late father, the pioneering greengrocer and hospitality entrepreneur, Biaggio Signorelli. It's a salumeria, gourmet foodstore, wine shop, cheese shop, pizzeria, antipasto bar, cooking school and trattoria all rolled into one.

It is open for lunch and dinner- there is an open wood fired pizza station and the atmosphere is just beautiful.  Service is great.  The cheese and wine rooms a must!

RamenKan - Haymarket

RamenKan
Level 1, 90 Hay St Haymarket NSW 2000

This is a little hole in the wall- well upstairs, and well worth a visit when in China Town.
Great Menu to choose from.  The outlook is over Paddys Markets and the light rail and we sat at the window.

I went with all intentions to have the Noodle Soup / Ramen- and ordered the Spicy Ramen and yes it is spicy, tasty and filling.

The first dish is called Gekikara with pork and you add your noodles into the pork broth.. very nice indeed.

Drinks:
The drinks menu is extensive- with Great Japanese beers, Plum wine, chardonnay and reds, special mocktails and softdrinks.

It is also BYO and the service is great too.

Cafe Pacifico- East Sydney

Cafe Pacifico!!!
This place is brilliant for a group situation- birthdays etc.  There is enough Tequila to sink a battle ship... all different prices and tastes.  I do however recommend the Pitchers of Sangria.. And the frozen Margaritas. The decor was kitch as but suited the place well.

There were Streamers, Sombreros, people dancing on the bar, loud spanish music and lots of laughs.  I do recommend coming here on a Friday or Saturday night.

Food:  I recommend the Nachos with the lot, Taquitoes and the Quesadilas. Menu is extensive.

Chat Thai

Chat Thai- Campbell St- City

Good old Chat Thai- this is a favourite!  They also have another Chat Thai in Coogee- well worth the trek out that way for this food.  The main attraction is its Authenticity!

You can't book.  And be ready to line up and take a number.  Or if you don't mind sitting at the 'bar' area then you can get in a little quicker.  It's busy and the atmosphere is always buzzing.  The Thai staff are friendly. One drawback- it isn't lisenced.  But you can BYO

Entree:
I reccomend the Grilled Pork skewers with plum sauce, you buy them individually.

Main:
King Prawns in chili and Basil- large king prawns that you need to shell
Vermicelli seafood salad- spicy and delicious refreshing sauce!

Dessert:
We tried teh sticky rice in coconut milk with Durian on top- good if you like Durian.  It also comes with black beans.  The desserts are amazing so leave room!
