Ellacure Restaurant and Bar
Cnr of Braybrook and Battye St, Canberra
This Restaurant was BUSY! We went on a Saturday night and did need to book prior. It was a hot steamy night and a storm errupted while we were on our Entrees!
Wine Time: We tried a bottle of a mixture of Semillon grapes from the Hunter Valley Vs.a Sauvignon grape from the Marlborough in New Zealand- very nice indeed.
For Entree we shared the Prawns in a chilli tomato sauce with chorizo- excellent. We also had the figs wrapped in proscuito, filled with Blue Cheese - excellent too!
For Main: Lamb shanks on garlic mash! Meat fell off the bone! The Duck also looked good and this was served on a Yorkshire Pudding?!
Dessert was tempting - sticky date pudding or the creme brulee- however I settled for a cleansing Baileys on the rocks.
Overall a lovely dinner for two!
Price Range: Cheap/ Reasonable/ Expensive
