The Winery - Crown St- Surry Hills
What a funky place in Surry Hills! I tried booking a table but you have to get in early.. We arrived and were put on a waiting list for 20 mins and so ordered a bottle of Krinklewood 2009 Verdelho- lovely.
We were directed upstairs and the decor was amazing! Old lamps, mis matching old velvet couches, wrought iron tables and wine racks and boxes everywhere.. Good lighting too. Service was amazing too!
Mains: I had the tasmanian salmon on top of broad beans and peas with a creamy champagne sauce. Melt in your mouth. Steak with chips and a Cafe De Paris Sauce looked good too..
Dessert: Beautiful dessert menu! I decided on the cointreaux soaked strawberries topped with Balsamic ice-cream- worked well! The Chocolate brownie also tasted beautiful with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream...
Price Range: Cheap/ Reasonable/ Reasonable- Expensive/ Expensive
